We’re building a two-way touring relationship
As a result of our cooperation agreement with the Taiwan International Baseball Interchange Development Association (TIBIDA), we are invited to send a team to their inaugural international tournament in Taichung in July 2026. In return, TIBIDA will send a team to our New Zealand Masters Invitational in early 2027.
Competition Format
The tournament will feature teams from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Palau, Guam, Australia, and France.
Dates
The tournament will run from 15-19 July 2026.
Venue
The tournament will be played at the baseball stadium at the National Taiwan University of Sport (NTUS) in Taichung.
Registration
Tournament fees are set at NT$3000 (currently approximately NZ$160) per player for a squad of 16. This includes accommodation and meals. In addition, TIBIDA is applying for a grant that would eliminate the fee altogether. As such, this is an extremely affordable tour opportunity.
If you are interested in attending, please contact the club as soon as possible. We are asked to commit and provide our roster by 31 March 2026.
Other
The primary player-funded cost of participation will be flights.
As per our usual model, players will also purchase their own uniforms and provide their own playing equipment. Uniforms will be the same as for other tournaments i.e. players will not have to purchase bespoke uniform for this trip only.
