Uniform

To help manage the costs of tours, we try to keep our uniform simple and based around what players already own.

Jerseys and Caps

Our uniform jerseys are provided by New Balance in Ārahi blue (PMS 7455 C) with black pinstripes, a white Ārahi logo on the left chest, white player names and numbers on the black and black sleeve logos for MBA and BNZ.

Our uniform caps are black Richardson PTS50s with a white Ārahi logo A.

Jerseys without player names or numbers are available in the club store e.g. for non-playing officials or for informal purposes such as training, supporters, and giveaways. Before tours, a orders for custom jerseys will be taken for batch production. Players can decide how many jerseys and caps they will need considering the tour schedule and whether they wish to attempt jersey trades with opponents. All other items are directly player purchased including caps.

Player numbers are assigned to members with numbers kept unique where possible. We do allow duplicates in cases where players significantly differ in age and so are unlikely to serve on the same squads.

Other Player Uniform

Our uniform pants are standard “baseball grey” with no stripes of any kind. At past tournaments, we have found that consistency is strictly enforced so players are asked to avoid pants with any kind of piping or non-manufacturer logos.

Belts, socks, batting helmets, skull caps, sweat bands, and visible underlayers (e.g. turtlenecks or compression sleeves) are all to be plain black. An exception is that white stripes on socks (any number) are OK. Before tours, we provide logo decals to customise players’ helmets and skull caps.

Catcher’s protective gear are also player provided by all those who are rostered as a potential catcher. Neutral black/grey equipment is prefered.

Other Club Gear

We have hoodies, windbreaker jackets, and hooded t-shirts available through our club New Balance store. These are all suitable for training, dugout, and team official use.

Note that tournament rules will typically require all team officials present in dugouts or on the diamond to also wear full uniform including team caps and jerseys (though perhaps without names and numbers).

We expect to provide team baseballs (training, warm ups, giveaways) and wood bats when required by tournament rules. Players are encouraged to also provide their own compliant bats and will be required to in tournaments allowing metal.

From time-to-time we may produce non-apparel club merchandise including: neck buffs, enamel pins, water bottles, bottle openers, and so on. If there’s anything you’d like, just ask.
