A new frontier?
We are investigating participation in the MSBL Las Vegas Open in May 2028. The Men’s Senior Baseball League is the premier amateur baseball league for adults in the US. Founded in 1988, it is the fastest-growing adult baseball organisation in the country with 325 local affiliates, 3200 teams, and 45000 members playing organised amateur baseball in local leagues, 30 regional tournaments, and six national tournaments. Of the six national tournaments, Las Vegas makes the most sense for us – it lands just after the end of our local season and provides a consistent May touring month between WMG years. It also falls within the MLB season so we can catch a game or two. MSBL has approved Ārahi participation if we are able to form a team.

Overall, the games will run in late May 2028.

Registration
We’re hoping to enter teams in the 35+ grade and perhaps also the 50+ grade.
The tournament fee is US$2000 for up to 15 players i.e. if we send 15 players then it will be US$133 each.

Other
The primary costs of participation will be flights and accommodation.
As per our usual model, players will purchase their own uniforms and provide their own playing equipment.
Visas, if needed, will also be a player responsibility.
